Capital One settlement: Are you one of 98M eligible for claims?

If you were one of 98 million Capital One customers who had their personal information compromised, you could be eligible for a settlement.

But you’ll have to act quickly, as the deadline for claiming your part of the settlement is coming up soon.Capital One suffered a cyberattack on their computer systems in 2019The compromised information ranged from names, addresses, credit scores, zip codes, bank balances, payment history as well as transaction data within the past 30 days during 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Unfortunately, the deadline to file an initial claim has already passed. However, those already in line to receive money should have received an email by Sept. 30, 2022 about the settlement.Each person who got the message is eligible for a $707 payout. If you don’t select a payment method by the Nov. 27 deadline, you will receive a paper check in two to four weeks.
