Taxing the people that already pay for it to give it to somebody else for free. Why not tax the cell phone companies and providers instead of the people already paying their own share?

In Stockton California you see the homeless dope heads using these government phone so they can buy and sell drugs and nothing, zero percent use for positive...

Wtf

Okay, that's going too far. Cell service is a luxury, not a necessity.

It’s be cheaper to just pass out free phones with a set number of minutes on a monthly plan to people who don’t already have phones!

lol. They don’t have Cricket in California?

Of course they are its sounds like a very socialist thing to do.

'There's no money': Shutdown freezes HUD funds for low-income housing for the elderlyThe few federal employees left at HUD have been scouring the books, looking for a last-minute solution to fund hundreds of affordable housing contracts that have expired under the shutdown. GOOD! Crap like this is EXACTLY what gave us the mortage market meltdown of 2008! STOP the insanity when it comes to mortgages and home ownership. HUD is an unconstitutional executive overreach and should be abolished outright. If housing in this manner is to be done legislation is needed from congress. A big part of the problem is that HUD probably cuts monthly checks, by hand, one at a time. It isn’t the first shutdown, it isn’t the last, so when will HUD and Congress change how rental contracts are handled? When?
