Jung had homered and collected two singles earlier in the game.
The 26-year-old, who missed time with a broken thumb last season, had just returned to game action last week after missing most of spring training with a calf injury.Bochy described Jung as despondent after the game. The Rangers' 2019 draft pick also missed extensive time in the minor leagues with injuries.
"He didn't say anything. that's how down he was," Bochy said."He was just so quiet and he's a guy who talks all the time. He has so much energy. This one got him, I think.".
