On Tuesday, EA Sports revealed that Garrett will keep his 99 rating in Madden 23, the lone edge rusher to boast that high of a grade. He, becoming the first Browns player to receive a 99 rating, the highest possible in the game. With Tuesday’s announcement, he’s also the first Browns player to begin the year in the 99 club -- a noteworthy accomplishment as the game has been a mainstay for over 30 years.
EA continues to reveal it’s 99 club members in advance of the game’s release, and Garrett joined Raiders WR Davante Adams as the first two players announced this season. Garrett narrowly beat out Pittsburgh’s TJ Watt for the top edge-rusher rating. Watt has a 96.
