Scientists say that they have created a system to translate mental thoughts of handwriting into real-time text

goals is to develop “a fully-implanted, wireless, high-channel count brain-machine interface with the goal of enabling people with paralysis to directly use their neural activity to operate computers and mobile devices with speed and ease.”

These injuries, which may often cause grave functional consequences, are in addition to the plethora of other neurological conditions which can potentially cause significant movement and sensory difficulties.
