Lionsgate’s “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” is heading toward a $10 million weekend debut at the domestic box office, with an expected gross of $15 million in its first five days of release.
However, box office mainstay “A Quiet Place Part II” is expected to come in at No. 2, adding another $8 million to its haul. This would bring the silent thriller’s total up to $124.5 million, the highest domestic gross of any film in the pandemic era. It earned $2.6 million from 3,166 theaters on Friday, and is expected to bring in similar numbers all weekend.
