The FAA said it will conduct a"rigorous safety review" and the software that's suspected as contributing to both crashes won't be installed until its satisfied.

mkmfitzgerald Wouldn't it be proper to state that trim down in response to a stall indication is borrowed from Airbus reference QF72 and LH1829. Washington Post is the only media publication I have seen that has correlated the problem. CNBC continues to say only Boeing has the problem

The FAASafetyBrief will just defer back to Boeing, right? I mean who better qualified to certify the airworthiness of an aircraft than the manufacturer! They’re the experts! This’ll just be a formality I’m sure.

Coming weeks? Speed it up!

Between Two Deadly Crashes, Boeing Moved Haltingly to Make 737 MAX FixesRecent congressional testimony, as well as interviews with executives, regulators and others suggest the American aviation industry had an overly U.S.-centric view about how to handle safety issues, and often a dismissive view of overseas pilots. The speed of Boeing’s response is now a matter of various investigations. The important question is not “when will it be ready” but “who will test and certify it?” In the meantime they had no issue putting the lives of thousands of people at risk. Every person who flew in their aircraft should be compensated as test pilots at a preliminary testing stage. But yet they wanted to keep the plane flying in the US after the latest crash?
