Warren Buffett is not the answer to California's blackouts, wildfires and skyrocketing electric bills. Building a 21st-century energy system is.

This week, howling winds whipped through Northern California, fueling fires, downing trees and blowing toxic smoke into Bay Area cities. The utility giant Pacific Gas & Electric cut power to large swaths of the state to prevent more wildfires but left some high-voltage transmission lines running—including the one that malfunctioned where the Kincade Fire broke out.

Instead of pouring billions into propping up a dangerous, antiquated electrical infrastructure, Governor Newsom, our legislators and the California Public Utilities Commission must move California toward a safe, reliable, community-owned energy infrastructure that reinvests in local communities. Now, with PG&E in bankruptcy, our elected officials need to step in and stand with communities like ours—communities that have been unfairly burdened by a dirty extractive energy system.

. Our goal is to build enough distributed energy resources that we will no longer be dependent on PG&E's volatile and expensive transmission system. And we need massive investment to multiply solutions like these.

PG&E has been more concerned with how many LGBTQ and nonwhites are working for them and answering all the leftwing wacko Democrat politicians in California than they have been concerned with producing energy!

Days of terrifying darkness, cold and hunger amid PG&E's sweeping power blackoutsNo gasoline. Generators in short supply. Spoiled food. Darkness. Hunger. In Lake County, thousands endured days of PG&E's most recent power outages, aimed at protecting the public and limiting the utility's wildfire liabilities. The fire began by a tree top hitting a power line. Completely avoidable . I wish I didn’t relish Californian suffering, but lord have mercy on me, I do.

Opinion | Even Jennifer Anniston can't save Apple TV's first mediocre streaming optionsNew streaming services like Apple TV Plus, Disney+ and HBO Max must convince consumers their brands are worth the headache. So far it's not going great. THINK Time for Time 'Apple' to step down! THINK The concept of the flagship show is pretty interesting but it ain't exactly earth shattering. Also, I don't think it's earth-centric sci-fi either. It probably presents itself as being about future earthlings but it's really about one of our cosmic neighbors.
