NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says the alliance has agreed to withdraw its roughly 7,000 non-American forces from Afghanistan to match US decision to pull all American troops from the country starting on May 1

US President Joe Biden has warned the Taliban he would hold them accountable on Afghanistan after the US exit and pressed nations including Pakistan to play supportive roles.

Notably not naming Iran, Biden said that the countries in the region "have a significant stake in the stable future" of Afghanistan. The US cannot continue to pour resources into an intractable war and expect different results, Biden said. “I am now the fourth United States president to preside over an American troop presence in Afghanistan. Two Republicans. Two Democrats. I will not pass this responsibility to a fifth.”

Biden said that Afghanistan's stability will be provided by the countries of the region (especially Pakistan) It is indeed good option for US.

China/Russia /İran, Pakistan and terrorists are very happy -- Of course Afghan gov has NO other option but to ask for military support from anyone who is against terrorists that are empowered/legitimized by Trump/Biden immoral stupid envoy Khalilzad

Biden to withdraw all U.S. troops from Afghanistan by Sept. 11The move will likely prompt the Taliban to renew attacks on American forces there, which have largely halted since the February 2020 agreement. US MUST WITHDRAW THE TROOPS FROM AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ. US MUST WORK WITH THE UN TO SEND PEACE FORCES IN SYRIA, IRAQ, YEMEN, AFGHANISTAN AND ETHIOPIA AS DONE AT THE LEBANON BORDER. UN MUST HAVE A PERMANENT PRESENCE IN ISRAEL REGION. 20 years is enough time for any country to get its act together. Sadly they didn't. JeanetteKStone1 I don't understand why people are foaming at the mouth over this. The United States maintains global reach, whether we're occupying a country or not. Bring our troops home.
