The report states that a deputy was dispatched around 10:50 a.m. Monday to Uzomba’s court “per supervisor request.” Velez said she was offered a position elsewhere and wanted to give two weeks’ notice but was told she had to start by Wednesday, the report states. “Veronica said she then became even more upset and was crying by this point before she finally maneuvered around the judge and pulled open the door to leave the office,” the report states.
