Bernie Moreno launches U.S. Senate campaign to unseat Sherrod Brown

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Cleveland businessman Bernie Moreno officially launched his second campaign for U.S. Senate in 2024 on Tuesday.declaring candidacy, but on Tuesday he made his official entry into the Republican primary with an introductory advertisement., as an early entrant into the Republican race to face off with Democratic U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, of Cleveland.

It’s the second shot Moreno, a Cleveland luxury car dealer and businessman, is taking at running for the Senate. He ran last year in the crowded Republican primary that eventually sent U.S. Sen. JD Vance to Washington. But he dropped out of the race in February after a meeting with former President Donald Trump, whose endorsement was coveted by most of the field.
