San Diego State's all-time passing leader expects continued growth and improvement from Mayden as quarterback builds rapport with his receivers

Before Lindley left Mississippi State, where he was a defensive analyst for the Bulldogs, he learned a little bit about Jalen Mayden.“Plenty of the players I coached when I was there spoke super highly of him,” Lindley said. “I had a feeling of what I was getting when we first met and, obviously, it’s clicked. He’s a heck of a competitor and a worker.”

“There’s some things we could have done better to put him in a better spot,” Lindley said. “There’s blame to go around. He knows that, too. Part of what has made us successful is he’s been able to move around and make plays. “We had none of that. It wasn’t even getting backup reps. It was zero reps since last fall. He values every rep you take and you can’t take one off.”

“It looks like San Diego State is going to go to the Pac-12,” Patrick said. “That is expected, at least according to my source, to be announced this week. But San Diego State to the Pac-12.”
