Are Ayo Edebiri and Paul Mescal dating? The actors sparked dating rumors when, over the weekend, they shared a photo of themselves together.Edebiri posted the shot on her Instagram Story on Sunday—which was St. Patrick’s Day—writing “Happy St Paddy’s” over it. The image showed the pair sitting on a staircase, and Edebiri smiling widely with her eyes closed while embracing Mescal with one arm. He, in turn, smiles directly at the camera with one hand resting on the Bear star’s lap.
While Mescal is Irish, Edebiri went viral earlier this year for making up a story about how she lived in Ireland to prepare for her role in 2022’s The Banshees of Inisherin—a movie she absolutely was not in. She did a fake Irish accent, and pretty soon, fans from Ireland began claiming her as their own, even jokingly dubbing her the internet’s Irish princess.Also, she and Mescal have been pals for a while. Last March, they were pictured together at the 2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards.
