Austin Police & City to resume officer contract talks May 13, aiming to fill vacancies.

The Austin Police Association announced that formal negotiations with the City regarding a long-term contract for officers will resume on May 13.

“I have been saying for some time now that it was critical for the City to get back to the bargaining table with the Austin Police Association,” said Austin Mayor Kirk Watson. “I’m pleased we’ve agreed to a date to begin those negotiations.
