While recent monsoon rain has soaked parts of the Desert Southwest, the West's most expansive drought this century raises the odds of continued heat into August farther north from Nevada to Washington to Montana.
Drought Monitor analysis as of July 13, 2021. Higher levels of drought status are shown by progressively darker shades of brown and red. While some parts of the Southern Plains may heat up a bit early in the month, much of Texas and Oklahoma to the lower Mississippi Valley is forecast to remain less hot than an average August, partially due to theSpiraling low pressure over the Arctic earlier this summer could split into pieces in August, and that could increase cooler risks for the Northeast, according to Todd Crawford, Director of Meteorology at Atmospheric G2.
This matters because the pattern of rising and sinking motion in the tropics during a La Niña can affect the weather pattern in the U.S. and elsewhere.
Just love reading replies from people who couldn't forecast a fishing pole, slam your forecasts. Bet they even expect future radar to be exact?
It’s called GLOBAL WARMING 😉
I wonder if things will be back to normal by Winter. I'd hate for typically cold parts of the US to still be unusually warm and hot. That just wouldn't feel right, for the season.
Yeah because your forecast for the northeast has been spot on for July 👎🏽
