In shared notes, you can attract the attention of one of the sharers by adding @ and their name in the note, which will notify them of the update. These are useful, but until now there’s been a problem that when one of the people with access to the note updated it, it was hard to see what had changed. Did I type something by mistake? What happened? That’s no longer an issue as a new Activity view shows a summary of changes since you last looked at the note. This is a great upgrade.
And as part of that, there’s Highlights which lets you swipe right in the note and it’ll show you details on what changes happened, letting you view the times and dates of the edits with highlighted text, color-coded to each person. This is brilliant, though exclusive to the iPad. Tap the bottom right corner with the Apple Pencil or swipe up with your finger and a Quick Note appears—great for jotting down a pressing thought before it vanishes in our busy days.
This is just one of the cool upgrades in iOS 15 that’s merely hours away. Check back on Monday for full, comprehensive details of the entire iOS 15 release, here on Forbes.
