Not sure why folks are having trouble with this recipe. Mine turned out amazing - just gotta carefully follow directions.This turned out pretty well for me! The cake has a strong apple cider flavor, and the sugar on top is a nice touch. Pouring the reduced apple cider over the finished cake was a step that I was skeptical of, but I think it was key to the flavorfulness, and did not make things too sticky as I feared it might.

If you read through the recipe and follow the instructions carefully - you’ll be delighted with a lovely loaf!Hmmm made it exactly as written, didn’t have any trouble making it. But the loaf turned to be like a tapioca starch consistency? not cakey at all. It doesn’t seem raw.
