The former anchor of Comedy Central's"The Daily Show" will host a new current affairs series for the tech company's nascent streaming service, Apple announced Tuesday. It will be a part of a new production deal that the comedian has signed with the company. It will be the first time that Stewart has had his own regular show since leaving"The Daily Show" in 2015.
He won multiple Emmys during his 16 years as host of"The Daily Show," and was a trailblazer for late night comedy. So it helps to have Stewart as a marquee name as Apple battles with the likes of Netflix and Disney+ for subscribers' time and money. The former host has been mostly absent from the pop culture radar since leaving"The Daily Show.
My deepest respect to Jon. A Great Man who's standing and fighting for those Brave Women and Men that stood in the line off dutty on 9-11. 'Honor and Value, Always and Best'
It's hard to believe that he stayed off the air during the Trump years... He invented that s***
Congratulations
Oh great and I just signed up for Apple TV. I knew there was a reason for it. 🤣🤣

Yes!!!!
Really miss Jon Stewart-He got the first responders back and still at it- Totally insane that congress still balks at taking care of those willing to die for us. He’s been rescuing animals for 5 years. Such a bad person.

Buzz off, Stewart. You left in a huff right as Trump was coming in. So you miss the limelight, too bad. You sat out the worst first term in US history.
This is great news!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES GET THE FFFFFFFFFFFFF IN!!! God, I've missed that man 👊👏😎
Well damn it! Now I have to get Apple TV
Does he plan on being funny or will it be a full on extreme left wing activist show? We’re sick of the latter, and nobody is fooled by this decades old corrupted progressive movement.
Why is he so hot now?
Please don't let that be another remake that destroys the spirit, integrity and legacy of the original.
