co-host first celebrated and thanked volunteers at the vaccination sites for administering the first dose. She then took to Instagram Story to address the criticism she got and explain how she obtained the vaccine. Kloots' late husband,"I just got my COVID 19 vaccine! I went to a site and waited in my car until all appointments were over in hopes that they had any extra vaccines.
"Vaccine shaming should not happen. Everyone should be getting this vaccine, and anyone that gets it, we should be celebrating that one more person has got the vaccine," Kloots passionately said in her Instagram Story."I knew that I could possibly be turned away, but I drove, and I waited in a line in the hopes that at the end of the day, at the end of appointments, they may have extra vaccines that would otherwise be thrown out.
She continued by expressing that she"was happy to be one of those willing arms," asking people to please"not vaccine-shame me on my photo after this day where I am so grateful to have this first step in getting vaccinated against this virus."
She is lying!!!!
I think they should encourage all centers to have people willing to wait at the end of the day to vaccinated based on left over available shots. It’s way better to be used then trashed and having to reorder more. Much more efficient and cost effective!!!
I didn't know they trash unused vaccine.
I don’t begrudge her getting the vaccine, I just don’t believe that she just happened to be in the right place at the right time. She did not drive, the pic shows her in the back seat. She used her celebrity privilege to get the vaccine.
I say good for her
It’s all skewed anyway. At my work place, they practically beg and chase us around to get vaccinated. But many refuse and none of us are elderly lol. 🤷🏽♂️
Those giving anyone backlash for getting the vaccine are just jealous or ignorant of what happens to the extra vaccines that weren't used for appointments.
The vaccine was gonna get trashed. What’s the issue?
Leave her alone
