Alyson Stoner Wrote a Book About LGBTQIA+ Health and Wellness

Throughout childhood, I struggled to cope with the weight of being in the public eye as an actress and athlete, while also facing abuse at home.

Suffice it to say, mindfulness and embodiment practices felt super awkward at first. Just ask my ex, who watched me squirm every time we tried to meditate. With the constant drive to be “productive,” I have trouble slowing down. These are deeply ingrained patterns born from my earliest experiences. So, these tools seemed peculiar and intimidating. Perhaps you do or do not relate, and both responses are okay.
