$2 Trillion and 20 Years later, it all ended in complete fiasco. Soviet soldiers were leaving with their heads high and afghan government was able to defend by themselves against US sponsored Taliban and Bin Laden for 3 more years. It took 1 day for US puppet regime to fall.
