Incompetence. During a contested election result which was causing huge tensions no one thought there would be an issue at the certification of the election result that split the country down the middle. Alarm bells should have been ringing.

When someone is beating you with a flag pole, ect., I doubt if you look at the color of their skin.
It is this type of denial that not only reinforces systemic racism , but it also leads to the blindspots that allowed the insurrection to happen in the firstplace.
