The right-wing media ecosystem is sometimes described as a perpetual outrage machine , but that doesn’t mean there aren’t occasional droughts. Last Monday morning, as Howard Polskin began prowling right-wing Web sites in search of material for, the newsletter he founded to provide a daily roundup of the conservative commentariat, he looked worried.
Polskin has been in the media industry—reporter at local paper in New Jersey, P.R. for CNN—for forty-eight years. He createdafter the 2016 election. “Something happened in this country that led to the election of Donald Trump,” he said. “I don’t like it, but I think it’s got to be understood more.” Subscriptions are free. A grant from the Ford Foundation pays occasional freelancers.
What about the response to the January 6th hearings? Polskin broke the coverage down into three camps. There’s the predictable fare, deriding the proceedings as political hackery. “Then there’s stuff that’s far more, you know, going toward crazy town.” But, he added, “I’m seeing an increase in some anti-Trump stories, and I actually started creating a file on that.”
Lately your magazine is full of terms like 'Trumpism', 'Crazytown' and MAGA (a pretty much retired saying from the populist movement on the right). It's clear that what you REALLY don't like is populism of any sort.
Whites loosing dominance...that's what's up. You're maybe turning into a real modern republic.

Nothing happened. People were tired of Washington and Hillary was the embodiment of Washington. Any ‘outsider’ could have contested opposite her and won. It just happened to be Trump.
It was a hack by the ruskies that got the gop rolling. Media, broadcast and cable normalized it and now it is in our faces, our institutions as leave behinds magats and our courts are radicalized. gop civil war on Fellow Americans.
Ummm. Current regime and its ranking ratings aren’t hints enough? What a colossally stupid article. Perhaps start by scratching beyond the surface of Trump’s childish veneer. His policies were far better than the clown cart currently in white house.
How do you have 9 million followers but little likes and retweets?
Yeah the electoral fucking college
Easy: the electoral college. Why do we keep forgetting that his opponent got more votes than he did?
That's some hard-hitting, quality journalism right there 🥴
It’s called a stolen election-in 2016!
I've been rewatching an old show called The Newsroom set in 2011 and the tea party was setting the stage for a Trump figure for years before he emerged. Also everyone should watch The Newsroom again it really holds up.
I agree! He never should have been elected!!Clinton should have won..maybe it was stolen !!
