, an aggressive form of brain cancer without a cure. Katie Ann said she first suspected something was wrong when Peyton—who’s one of four children—began to show the same symptoms, such as headaches and nausea, as her older son, Hunter, displayed when he suffered from a brain disease in 2014.
Luckily, Hunter was able to undergo brain surgery and recover from the sickness, but Peyton’s cancer is inoperable. To help fight the disease, his doctors are treating him with a combination or chemotherapy and an experimental drug, Katie Ann said.will help, right now, she’s focused on making sure Peyton is as happy as he can be.
“When he was diagnosed, the doctors told us he had three to nine months to live,” Katie Ann said. “So we’ve been doing all we can to make these months worth it. We made a bucket list of things that Peyton has always wanted to do, like going to Disney World, fishing, and going to a lawn mower race.”event this month, they were excited for Peyton to see the roaring machines race around a 400-meter track, but they didn’t expect for Peyton himself to race.
“We told him that he could cut across the grass if he was tired,” Katie Ann said. “But he told me, ‘No, I’m doing the whole thing.’ He’s always been a fighter. Even when all the other kids passed him, he kept going.”, Peyton is seen slowly making his way around the track, persevering despite his illness. Katie Ann said she had tears in her eyes when she watched him, because he was doing what he loved.
