A little bit of laughter is essential for kicking cancer’s ass.

Charlotte Conner, 33, had just undergone a breast augmentation when she. “When I saw my doctor, they weren’t concerned, in part because of my young age,” says Conner, who was 30 years old at the time. She had a mammogram and ultrasound to check for signs of cancer, but no MRI. “Looking back now, I wish I would have asked for that MRI,” she says.

Conner’s other pillar of support came from a tight-knit circle of friends and family, who threw her a head-shaving party before she lost her hair due to chemo. “Making things fun and lighthearted like that got me through my darkest, saddest moments,” she says. One morning, Patricia Fox, 33, woke up with a lump in her right breast that wasn’t there the night before—she was just 26 years old at the time. Fox scheduled an appointment with her ob-gyn that day.

When the radiologist called with her result—stage I breast cancer, which means the cancer hadn’t spread beyond where abnormal cells developed—she could hear a lot of noise in the background. He said, “I’m in New York trying to hail a cab, but you have breast cancer. You need to find a breast surgeon.” Despite the bluntness, Beale says she couldn’t help but find the humor in the situation, which is something she carried with her through treatment.

“There’s this inner feeling you have,” she says. “Something was inside me saying that’s not right.” Her sister’s doctor had told her the exact same thing, but Colden was so happy to hear she didn’t have cancer, she didn’t follow up.

Georgia town calls for unity ahead of trial of accused killers of Black jogger ArberyBRUNSWICK, Georgia (Reuters) -Community leaders in Brunswick, Georgia, are preaching unity ahead of the trial of three white men accused of racially motivated murder in the shotgun death of a Black jogger, anxious it does not stir racial tensions or violent protests in their small coastal city. The killing of 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery on Feb. 23, 2020, sparked outrage across the country. Former police officer, Gregory McMichael, 65, his son Travis McMichael, 35, and William 'Roddie' Bryan, 52, are charged with murder and other crimes. I really wish people would just STOP killing people! WTF! There isn't any reason anyone needs to kill others. Take a walk, a nap, do something to work on yourself but do not harm someone else. Prayers to the guy's family. Jail murderers to protect the rest of us. Im I’d suggestcovicting them if u dont want a riot
