Four people were killed and three others were taken to an area hospital following an overnight pursuit crash that left a vehicle split in three different parts in Upland . Investigators believe one of the drivers involved in the violent wreck was under the influence and that the suspect's car was stolen in Fontana. Officials with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said around 1:50 a.m.
The chase continued into Upland, and at the intersection of 16th Street and Mountain Avenue, the sedan traveling westbound collided with a white Ford Mustang that was going north outside the Mountain Plaza shopping center, which caused the suspects' vehicle to crash into a pole. Authorities believe the pursuit lasted no longer than seven minutes.
