East Hempfield Township Police said the child walked from his home without his family's knowledge and was later found dead in a neighbor's backyard pool.According to East Hempfield Township Police, emergency personnel were dispatched to a home on Wheatland Avenue at about 12:08 p.m. for the report of a child in cardiac arrest.
EMS personnel continued life-saving measures and the boy was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
