Ram has teased a new high-performance pickup truck that will be unveiled on April 25. The model is expected to be the Ram 1500 RHO, which will effectively replace the TRX. Ram has previously said the truck will arrive in the third quarter and have a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six developing 540 hp. The HEMI era is coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean the end of performance vehicles. Quite the opposite as Ram appears to be teasing the TRX successor.
That’s significantly more power than the standard output engine, which produces 420 hp and 469 lb-ft of torque. However, it pales in comparison to the TRX’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that developed 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. https://youtu.be/E6sF3K_EFmE?si=hZvHv2egkYRvkteD More interestingly, the Ram 1500 RHO will effectively slot between the Ford F-150 Raptor and Raptor R. The former has a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque, while the latter has a supercharged 5.
