A shooting at a busy north Houston flea market left at least two people dead and three more in critical condition Sunday afternoon, according to the Harris County sheriff's office.
Despite the mayhem that had unfolded earlier, the flea market was operating in full swing hours after the shooting. Families went about their shopping, sipped on micheladas and enjoyed what should have been a peaceful Sunday outing. Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigate the scene of a shooting at the Sunny Flea Market, where two people died and three other were injured and transported to a hospital on Sunday, May 15, 2022, in Houston.Mayra Rubio, 32, came to the flea market like she does every other weekend to do some shopping and let loose on the dance floor. Happening upon a deadly crime scene was a “shock,” she said, and it might be awhile before she returns.
