Without peace talks, Ukraine has no future

Monday May 23 2022, 5.30pmhe towering certainty, 90 days since Vladimir Putin launched his invasion of Ukraine, is that Russia has not achieved victory, and is not going to. The Ukrainians have shown magnificent fighting spirit, tactical skill and resolution. As for Russia, it is hard to decide whether Vladimir Putin’s army is more disgraced by its incompetence or its savagery.

How much should Ukraine give to Russia as a settlement? Everything?

what settlement should ukraine accept? russia annexing a third of their country? being condemned to a part of russias sphere of influence?

Why should they focus on a settlement? Ukraine didn't start this war, the Commies in Russia did. Let Putin go back home with his tale tucked between his legs. They will get NOTHING.

The west has been appeasing Putin for decades. How much of the world are appeasers willing to give him before they believe he will get tired of taking more? Because their own countries are a bit too far away to be annexed doesn't mean they aren't being harmed by his aggressions.

Should be obvious but the fiction of Ukraine winning goes on. How to police a settlement! Another wall? Can't trust Russia.

The world should focus on delivering weapons to Ukraine so that Ukrainians could inflict more losses upon Russians driving them out of Ukraine. Actual peace can and will be achieved on the battlefield; Ukrainian victory means peace. Anything else means more wars in the future.

Peace can happen once Russia GTFO.
