The Ukrainian government says it will not agree a ceasefire deal with Russia that involves giving up territory.

His comments come as Russia continues attempts to encircle Ukrainian forces defending Severodonetsk in the east. Luhansk regional governor, Serhiy Haidai, said Russia had attempted to break into Severodonetsk from four separate directions.

Ukraine should never give up any of its land under law. They have no right to be in any Ukrainian territory including the Crimea and Donbas region. Everything possible should be done to hold Russias invasions as criminal actions.

The Western allies of Ukraine seem less ambitious than Zelensky. I think they're/ will be pressuring Zelensky to accept the annexation on the part of Russia of the Donbas and some parts of the south (Mariopol and Kherson).
