As fears rise over the spread of coronavirus in Britain, it is remarkable how little ministers are talking about the millions of people who are most at risk. Boris Johnson addressed the nation yesterday about the fear of a second wave but made no substantive mention of people with underlying health conditions who are particularly vulnerable to the virus.

Parents should not have to choose between health & education. Schools without distancing're not safe. Opening and closing schools is not sustainable education. Pls support our petition for blended education to keep schools safe &make education sustainable.

This is a test case to see if they can get away with it in England. Is this how you want to live. Shutting down the NHS with 450 cancer deaths a day, treatment delayed. Isn't it time that the Guardian started fighting to stop this country descending into fascism?

I thought the same. No mention of testing either in his speech. What about theatres, music venues etc. They are still not open and no different than being sat in a pub.

I welcome the Pub's shutting at 10. Hope they will keep it up after Covid. If they lowered the drinks prices the Pub industry could benefit from early closing.
