During the November lockdown, Daniel, 52, decided to indulge his nine-year-old son Evan's love of history by building a small Saxon house in their back garden, using the original techniques pioneered over a thousand years ago

With museums, cinemas, and zoos still closed, plenty of parents have found themselves struggling to find new and interesting ways to keep their children entertained and educated during a locked down half-term. Perhaps they could take inspiration from the Pearce family from North Hampshire.
