Why do the woke liberati have such a problem with Christianity?

Rebecca Long-Bailey, the Corbynite candidate and MP for Salford and Eccles, is, it turns out, a Catholic. Who knew? All of us, now, as it appears that she takes her faith seriously enough to dare to depart from the liberal consensus on abortion. Ms Long-Bailey does not agree with allowing abortion on the grounds of disability after the standard limit of 24 weeks, and says she believes disability and non-disability should be considered equal when it comes to the value of human life.

Because the Church has been a tool of control for centuries and we live in age where believing in 2000 year old dubious stories is frankly ridiculous

It's the end of the line for her. Christian & anti Abortion is a big crime in Liberal thinking. Liberals are wrong and misguided, yet, too arrogant to see the absurdity of their errors in cognitive dissonance. PoliticsLive was usual nonsense with Bigotry being tossed around.

By 'woke liberati' you mean the 50%+ who are not religious (over 75% in the under 24s) and who don't their lives ruled by superstitious dogma. We know the Torygraph readership is old and probably more religious than average, so go on appeal to your minority.
