The drama, which starred Taron Egerton and Jonathan Bailey, cut its top prices after criticism over the £400 cost. "What you're seeing is, to some degree, the impact of the pandemic and the fact that you now have a sort of two-tier system where hit shows are able to sell the best seats in the house to well-off domestic audiences.

A representative for Cabaret said 54 seats per week are priced at £300, with £25 tickets available for every performance in a lottery.

Sad to say yes it's had a huge impact. I used to go to theatre twice a week sometimes. Now it's twice a month if I'm lucky.

Obviously. And I say that as a Londoner who pre-pandemic saw 60+ shows a year, both west end, London and regional. The price hikes in the west end are becoming ridiculous.
