How my grandfather created Watership Down, one of the darkest children's books ever writtenMy grandfather, Richard Adams, commonly listed as his hobbies English literature, music, chess, beer and shove-ha’penny, bird-song, folk-song and country walking. As a child I found the film disturbing For those of us who grew up in the wilds, it was never 'dark', but brutally and soulfully honest. If only there were more like it! If you found Watership Down disturbing, whatever you do, do not watch The Plague Dogs. I would recommend it if you think you can handle it.

What, really, was the point? I hate rabbit stew ? What was the point.... I keep asking the same question about the Guardian. This should have been in 3 long parts not 2.
