One of Belfast's most iconic nightlife venues is celebrating 25 years of creating a safe space for Northern Ireland's LGBTQ+ community.
The brainchild of Seamus Sweeney and Andre Graham back in the 90s, the Kremlin and sister bar Union Street has now grown into one of Europe's largest LGBTQ+ nightlife spaces. On the growth in 25 years, he continued: "Kremlin has become somewhat of a household name, particularly if you do live in Belfast, you say Kremlin you automatically know what you're talking about.
He explained that it has become not only a "cornerstone" of the LGBTQ+ community but of the city's bustling nightlife scene, adding that he is 'humbled to be part of that legacy'. "It takes us years back in history and takes us back to a time where we really don't want to go to - we need to keep progressing as a society and places like this only help to do that.
