Hip-hop superstar Drake has placed a bet in excess of $500,000 on Tyson Fury to defeat Oleksandr Usyk in this weekend's undisputed heavyweight title fight.
This week the Gypsy King has been backed by legendary fight figures like Mike Tyson and Conor McGregor to preserve his unbeaten status and secure victory over Usky, but Canadian hip-hop superstar Drake has gone one step further and placed a $565,000 bet on Fury to emerge victorious from Saturday's bout.
However, the support of the five-time Grammy winner might be the last thing Wythenshawe-born Fury wants to hear on fight night due to Drake's track record when it comes to backing fighters and the perceived 'curse' that comes with it. Drake's misfortune when it comes to betting also extends to the UFC, with the artist losing a collective sum of over $1,000,000 when he backed Sean Strickland and Israel Adesanya in bouts over the last 12 months.
