The horrific incident happened on Sunday evening when a BMW M5 hit a pedestrian before crashing into a wall, near a bus stop, on Colne Road in Brierfield. The victim, a man in his 50s, was found unresponsive at the scene and tragically was pronounced dead
The suspects, a 40-year-old from Manchester and a 28-year-old local man, were taken into custody by Lancashire Police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. In an update issued today , the force said both men have been released on bail while detectives continue their investigation.
"With that in mind, I would ask for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage which captures the BMW M5 in Brierfield prior to the collision to contact the police as soon as possible."
