TV legend denies he has quit Hollyoaks after wave of 20 cast axings

The soap actor addressed the claims regarding the soap shake-up Hollyoaks star Richard Blackwood has addressed the claims he has quit the soap following news of its reduced weekly episodic output. The Channel 4 soap, which currently airs five times a week, will drop to three offerings from September in response to research which indicates that this is the optimum episode pattern for modern audiences.

Richard plays Felix Westwood on the Channel 4 soap ‘I ended up doing two shows back to back and both audiences were amazing, showing so much love! ‘Liverpool has been my home for the last four years and I have some great people there that I genuinely Love and will miss dearly!’ He concluded: ‘Thank you for making me feel at home in your great city and please know I’ll be back soon! Blessed and always grateful.
