Shocking footage has emerged ofsupporters running over two protesters who had taken to the streets calling for justice over the death of George Floyd.
Protesters, who had been chanting ‘f*** Donald Trump’, suddenly start screaming as the drivers speed ahead appearing to leave the young woman lying in the middle of the road. It is understood another woman was hit a few steps ahead, though this is not seen in the footage.According to reports, the incident is understood to have happened on Saturday near Mooney Boulevard and Caldwell Avenue in Visalia, California, at about 3pm local time.
The crowd can be heard screaming as the woman is lifted off the ground after being hit by the vehicle A petition was shared across social media appearing to identify the occupants of the vehicle and demanding their arrest, while claiming that one was the son of an officer.‘A petition is not necessary and the incident is being investigated by the Visalia Police Department Traffic Unit.
The incident comes as further disturbing footage was shared on Twitter showing a man aiming a bow and arrow at protesters in Salt Lake City, Utah.Brandon McCormick got out of his car yelling ‘all lives matter’ aiming the weapon at a black man, a protester said, before the crowd took him down.
