A TOURIST has suffered serious head injuries after plunging from a three-storey hotel balcony in Majorca.
The 20-year-old Irishman was rushed to the Son Espases Hospital in the island capital after being stabilised at the scene following his fall from the third floor of the four-star TRH Jardin del Mar Beach Hotel in Santa Ponsa.The alarm was raised just after 4.30 this morning. Emergency responders found the injured tourist at the back of the hotel in a gap between the hotel building and a small wall.
One local report said he had told emergency responders he fell while being chased, sparking unconfirmed speculation he may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time. The Civil Guard is investigating. A spokesman for the force confirmed: “We are investigating an incident in which a 20-year-old tourist plunged from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Santa Ponsa.
