Thousands turned up to celebrate an early Christmas with 14 year-old Ryan Roberson, right, who is seriously-ill with cancer

Thousands of well-wishers turned up to celebrate Christmas early with a cancer-stricken 14 year-old whose family wanted him to enjoy it one last time. Ryan Roberson Jr welcomed a huge procession of cars to his home in Houston, Texas, on Sunday – with more than 1,000 turning up. The youngster loves the festive season, but has a rare and aggressive bone cancer called osteosarcoma that his family fear may kill him before the end of the year, or leave him too ill to enjoy the December celebration.

So his aunt Autumn Young created a Facebook page for the event, with drivers turning up in festive-themed outfits – including multiple Santas.
