Thousands of tenants who have struggled to pay rent during the pandemic lockdown face the prospect of losing their home from the end of the month when the government’s temporary ban on evictions ends, housing campaigners have warned.

There are some tenants who are taking advantage of lockdown & not paying rent. This is despite tenants receiving additional UC payments. Tenants pocketing the UC and not paying rent. Landlords powerless. Months and costs thousands to get their house back. Cannot extent the ban.
