They are due to marry in the UK next month; the ceremony was twice postponed because of Covid.
They have had my documents for three weeks without the tracker updating so I’m not very hopeful. We have allowed 14 weeks till our child’s first holiday. :(
Excuse to privatise every Gov Agency

Never mind. At least they can all look forward to receiving a nice British blue one.
I’d say the trick is not to book an overseas trip unless you have a valid passport - at no point in my life have I ever considered doing this, never mind when there is a backlog as a result of nobody travelling for two years.
Is That Why He Wanted To Take It Private? What's The Score? What's The 'Real' Story?
Here in Ireland just renewed wife's passport. Submitted application online late on Sunday. Full passport arrived in post Tuesday morning at 9:45am. If you ignore the lies, porn, corruption, parties, racism, BrexitDisaster etc it's the sheer incompetence of the government.
We were very lucky then, our sons was renewed & returned inside 2 weeks earlier this month. Normal service, not expedited. Very lucky I wasn’t expecting so quickly.
A major contributing factor that is not being addressed is that Ryanair / askryanair are making up their own passport rules & turn people away at the airport, despite allowing them to Check-In online and buy seats, meals, baggage etc.. so they get the money in first! Scandalous
Ah this govt’s ministerial incompetence, oversight and the Brexit dividend. Tory shambles.
Every year for as long as I can remember there’s been reports of passport delays. Perhaps those leaving it so late to renew should take some responsibility for their inability to think ahead.
BBCBreakfast has same story. Haven’t there always been delays from Easter? You’d think ukhomeoffice could have predicted high demand following Covid. Changes to passport validity, Brits rights etc have been widely & regularly discussed on TV & in media since Brexit happened.
Strange because I applied for a renewal online on 16.03.2022, was kept updated throughout, and received it on 22.04.2022. Not bad now that I am learning for the first time about the delays. Doesn’t seem fair though as I have fck all booked to go at the moment.
This is down to the laptop class that have got so used to staying at home while the working class bring them stuff they just don't think working is for them anymore.
As you can see from the comments Tory voters think that unless something affects them personally then it isn’t a real problem 🤪🇬🇧
Really? My renewal was back in 16 days from application. Kept updated at all stages 💁🏼♀️
This is the government you voted for One that wants the central state to be as badly run as possible so you'll vote to make it smaller and privisated, leading to it being less efficient and more expensive
2 weeks from application to arrival for a renewal. No delays here.
here are my naked photos
A government that is not interested in governing well
