Thomas Cook customers 'left in the dark'

She said:"Every birthday and Christmas over the last two years I've been saving to take my two young children [Harrington and Hudson] on their first holiday abroad - Disneyland Paris was the plan."I stand to lose all the money from the vouchers and my children will no longer get their holiday.

The 19-year-old said she was"devastated" to lose her"dream job", and that staff did not know whether they would be paid at the end of this month. But the pair from Milton Keynes, in Buckinghamshire, say the CAA has now told them they must pay the full hotel bill of €1,211 because their flight departed from Gatwick at 05.45 GMT - hours after Thomas Cook announced it had gone into administration shortly after 02.00 GMT.

it might be thomas cook customers but in no way is thomas cook to blame for this. the government could've stepped in at anytime to help out but chose to sit on its hands and do nothing, the same with the banks who are the main causes of everything that goes wrong in this country.

Pity that you old seem to report about the holiday makers. How about the staff and pensioners whose whole life has been upturned. Yes the holiday makers will get their ,ones back and yes some of the stories are heartbreaking .. but what about the staff with mortgages.

🙄 there are pharmacies in countries outside the UK, it’s a shame you are more bothered about holidays than the people who have lost their livelihood so close to Christmas. As an ex-rep I can guarantee that the now unemployed TC reps abroad will still be helping out for free!
