The Denton area is flush with local cafes and businesses just around the corner from a retail park. The area is busy yet most people have not seen funding promised by the Conservative government to level up areas outside of the South East.
Whilst walking around Victoria Park - which is currently going through a gardening rejuvenation by the local council - most locals laughed at the idea that funding was going to anything useful.Denton resident Chloe Kelly, 26, rocking her pram back and forth said: “Not, really no, I haven’t seen a great lot of anything.”
