Before the pandemic, first-timers made up the biggest proportion of property buyers. It looked like the Government’s policies to boost home ownership – squeezing landlords, and promoting schemes to help get young people on the ladder – had actually, finally worked.
The ridiculous rises in house prices over the last 4 or so decades have killed off most young folks dreams. We needed three times our salary to match cost of property way back... Now that would struggle to get the deposit.
The Government is passing Laws to allow them to unilaterally decide to bulldoze our homes. Let that sink in.

...renting should be cheaper than buying...renters should have twenty five or fifty year contracts...simple...fixed it...
