Tesco glitch means shoppers can get £3 meal deal for just 4p

Scores of customers on Twitter posted about their bargain finds when purchasing a meal deal.

One shopper, Melissa, tweeted: “Tesco meal deals are scanning through at £1 in my local tesco and instead of doing anything the guy working was just telling everyone to treat themselves. What a legend.” One savvy Brit was able to get a meal deal for just 4p - by picking a £2.75 sandwich, monster munch for 85p and the priciest drink on offer, a £2.36 smoothie.Credit: Stewart Williams - The SunBut Tesco removed the meal deal discount twice, taking the price to 4p.

Another customer shared how they picked up a sandwich, chicken satay snack and bottle of Coca-Cola for just 71p.Tesco has almost 4,000 shops in the UK. A Tesco spokesperson said: "We’ve now resolved a technical issue which affected some of our meal deals.
