Silicon Valley entrepreneur Steve Kirsch was blasted for his proposition on the Delta flight.

A millionaire has been branded "creepy" for offering a woman $100,000 in the middle of a flight. Steve Kirsch, who made his money in tech, was travelling in first class on a Delta flight last March.

The Silicon Valley entrepreneur, who was one of two people that independently invented the optical mouse, was stunned at her refusal. He shared his experience on X, formerly Twitter, saying: "I am on board a Delta flight right now. He seemed amused at the situation, but many X users did not see the funny side. One person asked: "Did you have the $100,000 in cash? If not, you sound like a lunatic. How could they trust you'd pay up?" Another person replied: "They probably didn't think you had even $5."

Once again, his post did not go down well. One person said: "Women don't want to make deals with creepy men on planes. It's not complicated." Someone else asked: "Do you make a habit of offering money to random women to remove coverings from their bodies mid-air? ". Another person said even $100,000 isn't enough because getting sick with Covid can cost a lot more in the US. They said: "My hospital bills after admission for Covid came to over $300,000 .
